What Can We Expect For 2026?

Whilst the boys have been busy brainstorming in the "ideas factory," a few snippets of things have been steadily dropping like a trail of crumbs.

Here is everything we know—and everything anticipated—for the coming s**ns. 

The "Album*:" Is a Deluxe Edition Coming?

If you’ve been watching Ash’s socials, particularly Reddit, you’ve noticed a recurring character: the asterisk. Every time the word "album" is mentioned, that little * follows it. From this we can deduce that there will be some form of "deluxe" album in the hopefully near future.

• In late 2025, Ash replied to the Reddit question "Will there be any more copies of One Simple Trick (OST) released?", revealing that more copies of the "album*" will be released in different formats. This was the first time he used the asterisk. 

• We had news from the band's Spotify Wrapped exclusive video. Will stated that new songs were coming, and Ash put up 4 fingers, thus suggesting 4 new songs! This seems to verify a new "deluxe" album.

4 New Songs, 2 New Music Videos!

The boys have played snippets of "Wasted Summer" throughout various points of the U.S. "One Simple Tour," and when the crowd started to cheer, they stopped and moved on. This is a typical tease that they like to do!

During Will's end-of-year Q&A YouTube video, he was asked whether there would be any more music videos. He replied, "Yes, we want to make one for a song that's already released."

Ash was also asked a similar question on the Reddit. He confirmed there would be new videos, adding "We're hoping to do one for a song you already know."

We know there was supposed to be thirteen songs on the original OST track listing. "Wasted Summer" and "Alphabet" were later cut. 

"Alphabet" was initially teased in the arrow word/crossword giveaway from the "Resources for Teaching" tour of late 2024.  It was also teased by Ash on the Reddit in the form of an "ABC" emoji, as well as a picture of magnetic alphabet letters.

 So, my bet is "Wasted Summer" and "Alphabet" will be on the "deluxe" release. "But what about the 2 other tracks?!", I hear you cry! Well, at this juncture we know nothing of said tracks. Actually, we do have one theory. This theory is the scrapped song "Snake Oil".  It's one of Ash's favorite tracks, and yet to be released. 

What About a Tour? 

We are ALL desperate for a tour, no matter where in the world! I see comments of "come to Mexico," "come to Poland," and "come to Brazil," amongst others. Yes, I'd love to see them have a decent world tour that lasts a good year and pleases most fans, but I'm going to be a bit selfish - I just want a U.K. tour SOONEST!  Having experienced the secret London show, just nodding along to this NEW unheard album, I want to now have that full epic concert experience.

During Will's Q&A he was asked if the band would tour Europe. With his head in his hand and a cheeky smile, Will said, "I really want to." Will was also asked when there would be new Lovejoy music. His response was "SPRING". 

The only other thing we know is from what Ash has said on yet another Reddit post (Ash is actually Mr. Reddit). The post asked whether they'd like to come back to Australia and tour again. He responded that he loved the Aussie tour, but it would have to coincide with some festivals, as it would then be worthwhile. Ash also said that in the meantime, they should really do a U.K. and European tour. This was music to my ears!!!!!!  

With 4 new tracks, 2 new music videos, a European tour, and a Deluxe album possibly on the horizon, Who is excited for 2026 ?????
